CORE VALUES

INTENTIONALITY

As I like to say, move your body with intention for long term gainz. Here, at Fluid Strength, being intentional means we are purposeful in our word and action (movement). It means we live a life that is meaningful and fulfilling to us. It means we make thoughtful choices in our life. Being intentional means we actively interact and engage with whatever we are doing in life.

At Fluid Strength intention is our foundation. Without a strong foundation, our house will crumble. “Wait Tash, you mean I have to be conscious of my body & movement for the entire session?” Yes, that is the goal. Of course we are human and we are not always going to be 100% intentional but intentionality is where true strength lies.

One way I like to bring intention into movement is starting all my classes with some variation of breathing practice, usually ranging from 2-5min.

Learn to move intentionally in your body to level up your life.

LONGEVITY

At Fluid Strength we train for Longevity.

My goal with Fluid Strength is to help people become strong & resilient for whatever comes their way. In this space, you will be moving for long term health.

I will give it to you straight, being strong and moving with ease is a long game. I don’t believe in quick fixes. We won’t be fixing things here (we aren’t robots). We will be improving, learning, and getting strong as heck for the long game.

PLAYFULNESS

As we grow older, we tend to see play as something for children. We have the stress of money, careers, relationships, and we become so serious. We believe we need to spend all of our time on completing tasks that are going to propel us forward. When what we might need most of all is to just enjoy, laugh and play.

Playing is about the joy of the experience and not so much about focusing on the end goal. At Fluid Strength I want you to enjoy the process of becoming stronger and moving with ease. If we can not get joy out of the process, we will not see long term results.

Here is a quote from one of my favorite books called, Play: How It Shapes the Brain, Opens the Imagination, and Invigorates the Soul:

“Life without play is a grinding, mechanical existence organized around doing the things necessary for survival. Play is the stick that stirs the drink. It is the basis of all art, games, books, sports, movies, fashion, fun, and wonder—in short, the basis of what we think of as civilization. Play is the vital essence of life. It is what makes life lively.”

At Fluid Strength be prepared to be challenged, to move, and to play like a kid.
